Chris Chavez first began the practice of Iyengar Yoga in Ireland, where he was touring as a professional musician in the mid 1990’s. While traversing the globe playing music and studying various other methods of yoga, Chris imparted the knowledge and the gift of yoga upon everyone he met.

Jivamukti means “liberation while living.” This modern style of yoga emerged in 1984 from one of New York City’s best-known yoga studios. Founders David Life and Sharon Gannon incorporated their study of Ashtanga yoga with Shri K. Pattabhi Jois with spiritual teachings, placing special emphasis on how to apply yogic philosophy to daily life. Life and Gannon emphasize ahimsa, or non-violence, perhaps more than any other yogic precept. Veganism is an essential part of the Jivamukti method.

Gabriella: At the time of my studying in the university a relative of mine gave me book on yoga, starting from this book I became interested in yoga. When I met a person, who was already practicing yoga I was so curious that I went in to yoga class with this person. I liked yoga and hence continued practicing. It was Iyengar yoga in Florence in 1973.

Well known yogi couple Angela and Viktor are now practicing and teaching yoga for over than 30 years. They both started with Iyengar yoga but with the years new way and approach for yoga evolved. Now they call their approach "Unwinding Yoga". 

Doug is a master yoga practitioner, philosopher, poet dedicated surfer and health advocate. He has incorporated influences from several different yoga systems along with his passion for nutrition and the environment to develop his unique approach.
