Yoga means ‘union’, and this November the Global Yoga Community is coming together to promote men’s health and get more guys into yoga with the “Yoga Dudes for Movember” photo contest.
Yoga is a great way to take care of one’s health. Millions of radiant yogis are testimonials to the wonders of a regular yoga practice. But, contrary to popular belief, yoga is not just for girls: it’s for men too.
Every November, the Movember Foundation raises funds for health issues unique to men. This year, for the first time, yogis from all over the world are showing their support by taking part in the “Yoga Dudes for Movember” photo contest, organized by YogaTrail and numerous sponsors and media partners.

The contest will run on “Yoga Poses Around the World” , a popular Facebook app that boasts the largest collection of yoga photos on the web and which is shared by thousands of Facebook pages . Over 5000 stunning images, uploaded by real-life yogis in over 2000 cities, have had over 1.5 million views to date.
The contest will run from November 1st to 30th. Anyone can enter (no “Like”, or purchase required). And while facial hair is optional for men, any ladies entering the contest are encouraged to show their support by sporting a moustache of some kind in their picture. On Dec 1st, six winners will each receive a gift box of yoga gear (for men) worth over $1000.
